Who we are

Rocket Dispatch (“Rocket”, “we”) provides software for fuel dispatch and delivery companies. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the service, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), role and organization membership.
  • Business data your organization enters: customers, delivery locations, products, pricing, trucks, schedules, deliveries and invoices.
  • Location data: when a driver turns on location sharing, the device's position during active routes.
  • Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, and audit logs of actions taken in the app, used for security.
  • Cookies, described in our Cookie Policy.

How we use it

  • To provide, secure and support the service.
  • To authenticate users and enforce organization permissions.
  • To show maps, routes and delivery status.
  • To bill organizations for their subscription.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information.

Customer data

Organizations that use Rocket control the business data they enter. For that data we act as a service provider (processor) on their behalf. Questions about it should go to the organization first.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the service, under contracts that limit their use of it: hosting and database (Convex, Vercel), maps (Mapbox), payments (Stripe) and, only where you have allowed analytics cookies, product analytics (PostHog).

Storage outside Canada

These service providers store and process personal information in the United States. While it is there it may be accessed by courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under US law. Our privacy officer (below) can answer questions about how these providers collect, use, disclose and store personal information on our behalf.

Retention

We keep account and business data while your organization's account is active, and delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period after closure, except where the law requires us to keep records longer.

Your rights

We handle personal information under Alberta's and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act and, in Saskatchewan and elsewhere, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may ask to access or correct your personal information, and you may withdraw consent subject to legal or contractual limits. We respond within 30 days.

Privacy officer and complaints

Contact our privacy officer at privacy@rocketdispatch.app. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or of British Columbia, or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, depending on where you live.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access control and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the applicable privacy commissioner as the law requires.

Changes

We will post updates here and change the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
